Murder, abuse, and neglect charges filed in connection to 5-month-old’s death in Nickeslville

Four Scott County residents are in jail on child abuse charges after the investigation into the October death of a 5-month-old child.

An additional charge of felony murder was placed against Holly Taylor and Claude Hall after state prosecutors presented the case to a grand jury.

The infant was found unresponsive at a home on Little Duck Road in Nickelsville and later died at an area hospital. There was also a second child inside the home, and the report said illegal narcotics were within reach of the children.

Two other Nickelsville residents, Noah Taylor III and Elizabeth Taylor, were also arrested on abuse and neglect charges. The baby’s cause of death and the age of the other child from the home was not included in the county report.
