Ol’ Saint Nick confirms date of 83rd running of CSX Santa Train

It’s a 110-mile trek through Eastern Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee with 15 tons of toys aboard and tracks of history.

Organizers for the CSX Santa Train excursion have announced its 83rd trip through the three states is set for November 22nd.

Days before the event, volunteers will be needed in Kingsport to help sort items to be placed on the train then distributed. Details on that event are forthcoming.

CSX officials broke with tradition last year and brought Santa into Unicoi County for a special trip to bring holiday cheer to residents still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
