One year of work results in indictments in Kingsport toddler death case
Two years of investigative work by prosecutors and police resulted in seven charges including the murder of a toddler placed against a Morristown man.
A grand jury indicted Easton Vance, 20, on three counts of first degree murder in the death of a boy identified by family as 14-month-old Elliot Whitaker.
Vance’s case was bound over to the grand jury in October and he remains in jail without bond. Vance is also charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect, aggravated rape of a child and aggravated criminal trespass. Vance will be back in court in March.
