Operation Spring Cleaning DUI checkpoints scheduled in White Pine

State-funded DUI checkpoints later this month in White Pine are part of what their Police Department has nicknamed Operation Spring Cleaning.

Law enforcement from local and state agencies will be posted on Highway 11E, Highway 25E and Highway 66 on March 20th to aggressively address drunk driving in Hamblen County that officers said is a decision and not an accident.

Officers will be stationed at those bases and within the highway system from 6 pm to 2 am that evening.
