Out of control crash ends in flames in Bristol Virginia

Bristol Virginia police are asking witnesses to come forward and provide their take on a Friday afternoon crash that ended with a car covered in flames after it struck a building.

Fellow drivers pulled off Commonwealth Avenue and came to the aid of the male driver and a child inside. The agency’s initial report said the car was southbound when the driver veered into the northbound traffic, crossing the Commonwealth intersection, then continued into the former King Charities building where it hit the structure.

The male driver was flown by helicopter for treatment. The child was checked by EMT’s at the scene then released to family members.
