Parkway Play: Attraction featuring iconic Hasbro characters and brands coming to Pigeon Forge

A new parkway attraction in Pigeon Forge is set to open next summer–three years after it was first announced.

A project called The Play District: Powered by Hasbro will occupy the former Smoky Mountain Opry location and will feature a NERF Action Xperience, a concept first announced for the tourist mecca three years ago along with a Crayola-themed venue, along with a Planet Playskool interactive site featuring Hasbro brands like Transformers, PJ Masks, and Play-Doh, and Peppa Pig Playtime, a drive-along setting featuring the family from the Disney preschool hit show.

Production delays and financiers unable to reach a deal on property quashed the 2023 project.
