Phone threats, shots fired, and police chase in Bristol, Tennessee
A Johnson City man faces a stack of charges following a break-in at his estranged wife’s house and then shooting at pursuing police officers.
The list against Ryan Baer, 49, is staggering—attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, and aggravated stalking following Sunday’s incident.
A city report said Baer called the victim and threatened to steal her gun and use it against her place of employment. A report of shots fired was made followed by police spotting Baer near the victim’s workplace.
Baer drove off from the scene, shooting the gun out the window at the policemen until pulling over and surrendering, according to the statement issued by Bristol, Tennessee authorities.
All total, Baer is facing 22 charges based on Sunday’s incident.
