Regional law enforcement agencies to participate in National Drug Take-Back Day on April 24

Several law enforcement agencies in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia are participating in this weekend’s National Drug Take-back Day.

It’s the first installment of the biannual event sponsored the DEA which allows for individuals to safely and properly dispose of unwanted, leftover, or expired medications. Drugs that will be accepted include prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, supplements, and veterinary medications.
