Report: Published stories of Morristown denying space for a Charlie Kirk vigil are inaccurate

A City of Morristown statement says postings and published reports made about the city not approving the use of the Farmer’s Market for a Charlie Kirk vigil on Friday are inaccurate.
The report issued by City Administrator Andrew Ellard said a request to the Chamber of Commerce for facility use needs to be made 30 days ahead of schedule. It also said the Farmer’s Market and downtown green are unavailable due to a previously booked event.
Ellard’s message said Morristown neither permits or denies the right of individuals to peacefully assemble and public parks near downtown are well equipped for that event and the city is thankful for residents who organize such gatherings to honor others and pray for all.
Some of the stories posted online about the Morristown event include a published report from Newsmax host Todd Starnes and a statement from the First Liberty Institute.
