School leaders in Tri-Cities sent letter by area pediatric professionals urging masks in classrooms
A total of 36 medical professionals in pediatric care have endorsed a letter urging school directors and superintendents in the Tri-Cites to follow CDC masking guidelines for students.
The physicians said there is already documented proof of high COVID variant transmission in Sullivan and Washington counties and getting students to mask-up will help districts achieve continued classroom learning instead of internet classes.
The doctors said they are already treating kids due to mental health problems brought on by isolation that came with online learning forced on them by the pandemic.
