Scott County wildfire now contained

Officials in Scott County announced Tuesday morning that The 320 acre fire in the county is now contained. The Virginia Department of Forestry said a USFS helicopter was released from the incident at around 7 p.m. Monday. DOF resources continued strengthening fire lines, and a smaller crew will remain on site Tuesday to complete mop-up operations. The DOF said they have 2 dozers, 2 engines, and 20 firefighters working the incident with the Hiltons Fire Department. No structures were damaged, and no injuries have been reported.
