Sheriff’s Office says person found dead after Carter County house fire

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that a person was found dead after a house fire in the County on January 9. Remains of the person were found after the house fire on Little Avenue and have been sent for an autopsy, but foul play is not suspected.
