Sullivan County expanding COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to adults 16 and older starting Wednesday

Sullivan County is expanding COVID vaccine eligibility to all adults 16 and older beginning today.

The health department says anyone under 18 seeking a vaccine will need to be accompanied by an adult. Starting next Monday, March 29, appointment hours will be extended on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7 p.m, while call center hours will expanded from 8 a.m-6 p.m.

Vaccine appointments are currently open for Thursday and Friday at Whitetop Creek Park in Bristol and the Kingsport Civic Auditorium in Kingsport. Appointments are also available for the week of March 29-April 1 at Whitetop Creek Park.
