SWVA public housing agencies receive over $200,000 in funding

Three public housing agencies in Southwest VA are receiving a combined $207,982 to provide support to low income residents.

That funding is being distributed by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development through awards by the CARES Act Housing Voucher Program Housing Assistance Payments. According to 9th District Va US Congressmen Morgan Griffith, Redevelopment & Housing Authority agencies to receive funds include Wise County at over $132,000, Lee County at nearly $63,000, and Wytheville at just over $13,000.
