The Health Wagon set to provide 500 ready-to-cook meals
The Health Wagon, with help from its partners, plans to provide 500 ready-to-cook Thanksgiving meals to those in need in Dickenson County on Thursday. The event is scheduled at the Dickenson Center for Education and Research on Happy Valley Drive in Clintwood, from 2–4 p.m. According to the Health Wagon with generous support, 500 turkeys have been ordered through IGA. Completing the meal includes sides from Food City, and 1,000 food boxes, including 500 from Feeding Southwest Virginia, and produce from Appalachian Harvest. In addition to the ready-to-cook meals, families will receive additional food resources and free items on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free and open to the public, with all items available while supplies last. Pre-registration is not required.
