THP: Two people taken to hospital following crash Tuesday in Carter County
Two North Carolina residents were taken to the hospital after a crash shut down a road in Carter County for hours yesterday afternoon.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report says the accident happened around 4 p.m., as a Hyundai was attempting to travel around a curve while northbound on US 321 close to Shook Branch Rd., when it hit snow slush and spun into the oncoming lane, resulting in a collision with a passing Chevy Suburban.
The driver and passenger in the Hyundai were both transported to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries, while the driver of the Suburban was not listed as injured in the report.
