TN House Democrats take to social media after being stripped of committee assignments

Tennessee House Democrats posted to their social media accounts saying that House Speaker Cameron Sexton has removed them from all House standing committees and subcommittees. State representative Justin Jones said they Striped him of all his committee assignments for protesting what he said was “their white supremacist agenda.” State representative Gloria Johnson, who represents Knoxville, was more succinct, using the word zero, followed by an expletive. Representative Justin Pearson noted in his post that the “move strips nearly 2 million Tennesseans from the representation they deserve.” And Rep. Aftyn Behn from Nashville used the Laugh out Loud moniker and posted that “the Agriculture Committee was really going to stifle my summer plans.”
