VA Gov. Youngkin announces Affordable and Special Needs Housing loans
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin announced a record-breaking $154.5 million in Affordable and Special Needs Housing loans for dozens of projects in Virginia on Thursday. The funds will support 47 projects in Virginia, benefiting 3,014 homes for low-income households, including in several communities in Southwest Virginia. Community Housing Partners in Smyth County and the People Inc. Housing Group location in Norton and Abingdon will receive a portion of the loan funding. The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development administers the loans.
