VDH: Three COVID-19 outbreaks ongoing at nursing home, assisted living, and multi-care facilities in SWVA
A string of COVID-19 outbreaks are ongoing in long term care facilities in Southwest Virginia.
The Virginia Department of Health looks at outbreaks in nursing home, assisted living, and multi-care facilities. One includes Valley Health Care in Chilhowie, Va where 140 cases and 13 deaths have so far been reported. A second outbreak is at Accordius Healthcare at Abingdon, where 69 cases and six deaths have been confirmed.
A third outbreak in progress is in Bristol at Rehab Center and Memory Care of Bristol where the Virginia Department of Health says 82 cases have been confirmed.
