Virginia’s first female governor to give rebuttal to Trump’s State of the Union

Democrats have selected Governor Abigail Spanberger of Virginia to give the party response to Tuesday’s State of the Union address from President Trump.

House Leader Hakeem Jefferies said Spanberger was picked for her embodiment of the best of America as a mother, community leader and dedicated public servant.

Last year, Trump set a record for the longest duration of the address at 1 hour and 40 minutes.
