WCSO TN reports New Year’s weekend statistics

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office report that it conducted 251 traffic stops and made 49 arrests over the New Year’s holiday weekend. A release from the Sheriff’s Office Tuesday said that a grant from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office allowed for extra deputies out on patrols and traffic enforcement for the holiday. Of those charged, 8 were for DUI, and 15 arrests were for driving on a revoked or suspended license. The arrests were made between New Year’s Eve and January 4th.
