Winner of Bassmaster event at Watauga Lake donates winnings to hurricane relief

Bassmaster’s first trip to Watauga Lake came to a close with a selfless moment at the College Classic Bracket in Carter County.

Winner Tripp Berlinski of North Alabama presented the check for his $7500 in winnings to County Mayor Patty Woodby that will now be used by the United Way for continued hurricane recovery.

Berlinski, who led the event from day one, defeated teammate Bryce Dimauro in the finals that came down to 2 pounds between each angler’s catches.
