St. Paul moves forward with new emergency service and training facility

A new regional emergency services facility that will double as a training center for future EMS workers will be constructed in the town of St. Paul.

A report from the town said the $2.75 million project promises state-of-the-art equipment for workers to operate and it will allow enhanced EMS support for surrounding counties and towns. The center’s training facilities will aid in the careers of new firefighters, EMTs and police officers, according to the statement.

Town leaders also said US Congressman Morgan Griffith’s office was instrumental in securing funding for the project.
