Bristol VA Fire Chief Mike Armstrong announces retirement
Bristol, Virginia Fire Chief Mike Armstrong announced his retirement Tuesday. Armstrong spent 23 years serving in Roanoke before leaving in 2012. He began leading the Bristol, Virginia Fire Department in February 2015. The official last day for Armstrong will be February 1st next year. City officials said applications for the next fire chief are now open and will be accepted until Friday, December 5 at 5 p.m.
