Portion of Kingsport Greenbelt closed off next week for construction
Walkers and bikers on the Kingsport Greenbelt will need to change travel plans due to construction work next week.
A city report says the Greenbelt will be closed off beginning Monday from Industry Drive to Barton Street as crews work on a new canoe and boat launch access along the Holston River as part of Healthy Place exercise area funded by BlueCross BlueShield at Riverwalk Park.
The work will end next Friday then have a second round next month.
