Deputies catch burglars in the act while patrolling in Chuckey

County deputies on patrol in Chuckey observing suspicious activity at an empty home caught three suspects inside stealing various items.

James Cottrill, 49, of Piney Flats, Tina Hensley, 55, of Limestone, and Diane Burgess, 42, of Chuckey were arrested at the Painter Creek Road home then booked into the Jonesborough jail on charges of burglary, vandalism and aggravated criminal trespass.

Cottrill faces an additional count of drug possession after officers found him carrying a select amount of meth.
