JC man arrested for downloading child pornography
A Johnson City man faces two counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor for allegedly downloading child sex abuse material in mid-March, following a nearly two-month investigation. 19 year old Hayden Folck was arrested March 19 and released on $75,000 bond after a bond hearing in Carter County Sessions Court. He also faces a single count of sexual exploitation of a minor. Johnson City Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on January 20. Johnson City Police handed the case over to the Elizabethton Police Department after the results of a search warrant showed an IP location address at Milligan University. The affidavit alleges that during the investigation, Folck downloaded pictures or videos of “multiple different” boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 17. A preliminary hearing for Folck is set for May 11. Gene Scott is listed as his defense attorney. Milligan University confirmed that Folck had been a student there, but that he is not currently enrolled.
