One injured after fire inside Biltmore Estates’ winery

Asheville Fire Department officials said a fire at the winery on the grounds of Biltmore Estate was quickly extinguished on Tuesday.

Their report said crews were called to the property just before 11:30 and a transformer inside the Biltmore Winery on Dairy Road was on fire.

One person was treated for burn injuries at the scene and was not transported. The fire remains under investigation.
