Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office investigating convenience store robbery

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who robbed a convenience store while armed with a firearm Thursday night. The robbery took place around 9:30 p.m. Thursday at a gas station at the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 126 in Blountville. Witness reports and security footage shows a suspect entering the store wearing a hat, ski mask and sunglasses. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded cash and vape products. The suspect reportedly took money and other items before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported and the SCSO provided photos of the suspect and said they should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SCSO.
