Two Bristol, Virginia women identified as shooting victims in Exit 7 standoff

Two women from Bristol, Virginia were the shooting victims in a Sunday morning incident at an Exit 7 motel, according to a State Police report.

Brenda Tackett, 54, and Andrea Mallory, 35, were found dead in the parking lot of the venue as well as the room of the suspect, 47-year-old Antonio Megginson, who had barricaded himself and fired more than three dozen rounds at policemen surrounding the property.

Megginson surrendered just after 9 a.m. Sunday and is currently charged with attempted murder of a police officer but the State Police report said further felonies are expected to be placed against Megginson.
