Utility project to effect Downtown JC traffic overnight

Another utility project will effect traffic in Downtown Johnson City in the overnight hours. Johnson City Water and Sewer Services announced it will be working on a sewer line in downtown Johnson City. The work is scheduled on East Main Street between South Roan Street and Colonial Way and the roadway will be closed to all traffic, including emergency vehicles, with detour signs in place to help drivers around the closure. The closure will begin Wednesday at 9 p.m. and is expected to be done by Thursday around 8 a.m. Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the construction zone.
