Virginia inspection decals for vehicles changing from green to blue in 2026
Virginia drivers have a new color for their vehicle’s inspection sticker, according to an announcement this week by State Police.
Blue is the choice for the 2026 decal, a changeover from last year when green was utilized for the first time as part of anti-counterfeiting efforts.
VSP said the major change is rejection stickers are changing from pink to white with features built in to keep them securely on your windshield. The agency said the pink version would simply fall off the glass after the grace period would expire.
Truckers and motorcycle riders will get the same approval sticker instead of having two separate versions on the road and those will be orange.
