BrightRidge to demolish and remove structures from two substations

BrightRidge just announced that it would remove “obsolete structures” at its Midway substation in Jonesborough and its Phipps substation on Bailey Bridge Road. A BrightRidge press release said the buildings “have been determined to have no useful life remaining.” The release said BrightRidge will demolish the structures before they become hazards and remove the debris. The demolition work is scheduled to get underway Wednesday morning and will continue as weather allows. There is no completion date set, but residents living near either substation are asked to watch out for construction traffic in the area with work taking place during normal business hours.
