Intrigue in Knoxville: Concession sales 50 percent off to lure fans in early, coaches lose headset use when Trump arrives

Officials at the University of Tennessee have been stressing the need to arrive early to Neyland Stadium due to an enormous crowd and safety measures at all gates that will slow admission down.

The school has sweetened the deal by giving consumers 50 percent off all concession sales including alcohol from 9 to 10 a.m.

Sports Illustrated reported Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and Vols coach Josh Heupel have contingencies in place after radio communication between coach and player and coach and coordinators is stopped because the Secret Service takes over those channels for President Trump’s security detail.

SI confirmed both Indiana and Miami had headsets cut off because of Trump’s arrival and departure during January’s national championship game.
