TEMA: One storm related death in Greene County

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency’s latest report for the winter storm said that the state’s Department of Health has confirmed one weather-related fatality in Greene County Saturday. TEMA is calling it a weather-related fatality and local officials say the death was the result of natural causes but also the indirect result of snow and cold weather. TEMA said its Emergency Operations Center remains activated at a “level 3” state of emergency with power restoration remaining the state’s number one priority, as thousands remain without power in Middle Tennessee a week after the first round of winter storms. TEMA encouraged those whose homes were impacted by the winter storm to complete the Self-Reporting Damage Assessment Survey.  Resources and assistance information are continuously being added to TEMA’s webpage as information becomes available.
