Another free fishing weekend for Virginia anglers

Virginia is doubling down on outdoor fun and adding a second free fishing weekend starting today. Governor Abigail Spanberger and the Department of Wildlife Resources announced that from Friday, September 25th through Sunday, September 27th, anyone can fish in the Commonwealth’s public freshwater and saltwater spots without buying a license. Regulations on size and catch limits still apply, but restrictions are lifted on trout-stocked waters, opening up thousands of miles of streams. State parks are also hosting events all weekend.
